Cognitive Therapy for Anxiety Counselling

Our team of specialists employ various treatment protocols that incorporate treatment modalities from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & Prolonged Exposure and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) to help individuals to lessen the symptoms of PTSD by enabling them to confront their fears that shackles them.

Cognitive Therapy is based on the principle that our behaviours and reaction to stimuli is based on how we perceive and mentally review things. It does help with creating awareness about the fact that negative thought patterns could stimulate negative behaviours. Cognitive Reprocessing Therapy (CRT) does help individuals to reframe a traumatic experience by guiding them to create a new understanding of trauma in terms of instilling the idea of reversing the negative impact of the trauma.

Cognitive behavioral therapy helps you express your feelings and thoughts what the counselees thoughts are about the current problem and how it affects their daily lives. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a trauma treatment and aims to improve mental and behavioral problems that occur after bad experiences caused by trauma. The aim here is to make counselee aware of the negative thoughts and behaviours that affect their mental health and to replace them with healthy thoughts and behaviours. All Mindfull-Bases Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatments are delivered in individuals sessions, there is absolutely no administration of any medication in our treatment packages.

Cognitive Processing Theraphy

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) was one of the first breakthrough evidence-based treatment for PTSD that was originally developed for women survivors of rape and child abuse. It has proven to be highly effective for treating the symptoms of PTSD, depression and the feeling of shame and guilt that were all associated with the traumatic experience was seen to be significantly subdued with CTP. Patient’s ability to reconstruct the traumatic experience with the idenfication of the stumbling blocks around which beliefs and percetions of safety, trust, power, self-esteem, guilt andshame revolve, does eventually allows the patient to construe the traumatic experience in a completely different light.

There are 12 sessios of CPT that are spread over a 3 weeks PTSD package, with 3 sessios of treatment being organized per week. Theraphies are all conducted by our clinical therapist with a special training on PTSD.
